The flagship beer for Long Ireland Beer Co. is called Celtic Ale. It's a traditional Irish ale brewed with ingredients related to how beer was brewed a few hundred years ago in Ireland. Since it's an island, ingredients weren't always readily available. The Irish brewers used ingredients that they were able to get locally. This beer is made with 4 different malts and a big serving of honey and oats which give it a sweet but smooth flavor. Its 5% abv and 20 Ibus.
After home brewing for 6 years, Dan and Greg had the opportunity to start brewing commercially. They connected with a friend that owns the New England Brewing Company in Woodbridge, CT. where they bagan producing their own products. Now, with a NYS wholesale beer license in hand, they can sell the products. The next step is their own facility, right here on the North shore of Long Island.
